Business Development Rep 

  • Our client, a third party logistics company, seeks a skilled Business Development Rep with prior experience in managed services to drive business development and create opportunites for the sales team in the transportation/logistics industry to go after new logo business for their less than truckload unit (LTR).

  • This is a 100% remote position but preference will be given to candidates in within 90 miles of Orrvile,Ohio.

 

For a Business Development Rep, a typical day might include the following:

  • Execute coldcalls and other sales strategies to create sales appointments

  • Build relationships with prospects to turn conversations into meaningful interactions

  • Utilize sales-related technology/software including (but not limited to) ZoomInfo, HubSpot and Excel

  • Identify prospective opportunities through communications, programs and other activities as needed

  • Collaborate on presentation materials to potential new accounts

  • Recommend continuous improvement ideas for Company's sales strategies

Requirements:

  • This is a true hunter role. Not an account manager position. Candidate must have strong cold calling skills.

  • Seeking someone with 2+ years of experience in business development for managed services.

  • Ideal candidate will have 3rd party logistics experience 

  • Preference given to those in OH.
